Project 2: Infographic Video Animation
Then we started our drawings in Adobe Illustration. After the illustration team has completed all the drawings, we have a meeting to discuss how the animation should be applied to each page. Then, the animation team starts creating the animation using After Effects software.

Project 2: Infographic Video Animation
Instructions:
Based on FLIP group topic research, produce a basic
video animation.
Description:
Using a processed design framework, we will now produce an infographic report to present the given information to a ‘target audience’ with the purpose of:
1. Creating awareness (such as Global Warming, Recycle, etc.)
2. Explaining a process (such as "how to" video)
3. Defining a concept (such as "What is Fast Fashion", "What is Color Wheel", etc.)
Any time based media and software using photography, vector imagery.
Design Considerations:
The presentation must be deliberated on, consider each assessment rubric of sorts to your final outcome:

Design Considerations:
- Organization Principles – LATCH and Content Organization
- Aesthetic Principles – Animation principles
- Cognitive Principles – Principles of visualization
The presentation must be deliberated on, consider each assessment rubric of sorts to your final outcome:
- Show causality
- Multivariate graphics and visuals
- Integrate word number and images
- Content count
- Within eyesight
- Use multiple charts
- Do not de-quantify
Requirements:
1. A ± 3 minute animated infographic uploaded
into YouTube (unlisted). Video resolution: 1920px x 1080px HD, min 1.5
mins max 3 mins.
2. Digital compilation into Google Drive Folder
3. Online posts in your E-portfolio

A. Task Distribution
We formed a group in Week 1, then we came up with
the topic "What's the Science behind Luck?" after
discussion. Then we split into two teams and
distributed the work.

B. Script and Storyboard
Jun Teng, Kai Xin, and I were responsible for
writing the script for the video narration. We also
came up with a name for the main character, Twinkle,
to make the storytelling more engaging and
relatable.

C. FLIP Presentation
Our group presentation is scheduled in Week
6. We have included the objective, key
information, art direction, and storyboard in our
slides. With tasks distributed among the team,
everyone is now working on the final stage.

D. Illustration
After completing our presentation, we immediately
began working on the illustrations to ensure the
animation team had ample time to bring them to life.
My part is to complete the scene #1 and #2.
Colour Palette
- #FFF2E3 Soft Pink: Playfulness and gentleness
- #FFC61C Cream: Warmth, simplicity, elegance, and minimalism
- #F394B6 Muted Purple: Creativity, mystery
- #71DCE9 Warm Yellow: Optimism, happiness, energy, and warmth
- #A081D2 Light Blue: Freshness, trust, and clarity
Moodboard
Our primary reference for character design was the
viral music video *Dumb Ways to Die*. We were
inspired by its use of simple yet expressive
characters and vibrant colors, which effectively
captured attention and conveyed emotions. Our goal
was to create similarly minimalist yet visually
appealing characters that would be both engaging and
easy to animate, ensuring a lively and enjoyable
experience for users.

After the animation team completed all the
videos, Kai Xin and J-Yin uploaded their voiceover
for the video into our Google Drive folder.

FEEDBACK
Week 6
- Well done, interesting topic
- Breakdown the color theme of each scene
- Add Attractive Sound (Based on Audio)
- Should add analysis part
REFLECTION
As part of the illustration team, I contributed to scriptwriting and creating visuals for Scene #1 and #2. Collaborating with my teammates required clear communication to ensure consistency in style and quality.
One of the biggest challenges was managing time effectively to align with the animation team's workflow. However, this experience reinforced the importance of teamwork, organization, and adaptability. It also highlighted how simple yet expressive visuals can effectively communicate complex ideas. Overall, this project improved my design and collaboration skills, and I look forward to applying these insights to future creative works.
