We also learned about the golden ratio, rules of third, and composition of framing and cropping.

The Golden Ratio is a mathematical ratio, which fosters organic and natural-looking compositions.

The Rule of Thirds is a way to: 

  • Use composition techniques that are in line with what’s naturally pleasing to the eye.
  • Use negative spaces creatively
  • Create relationships between subjects and background
